Peg produces a guaranteed likeness of your pet from your photographs. She works free hand, directly on the paper without resorting to any aids such as projectors, light boxes or photocopied patterns of any kind. All pieces are her intimate interpretation of your pet's character. It is through many years devoted to her art along with a life long love of animals that enables her to produce so many exceptional portraits.

Photo Guidelines: Peg works best when provided with a variety of photographs depicting various poses and coloring. One photograph may suggest the pose and another the correct color of fur. The more information she has to work with the more she can put into the likeness. She can also arrange for a photo shoot if none are available and the subject reasonably close to her home in Long Island, New York.

Materials: Peg's portraits are done on Canson ® paper with pastel pencils and pastels imported from Europe. She also works in pencil, watercolor and acrylic paint for special projects.

All pieces are double matted and framing is optional.

Shipping: This is a delicate matter since the portraits are done in pastel, which is dusty by nature and loses its vibrancy if sprayed with a fixative. Because of this she cannot guarantee the quality of a shipped piece but has had great luck when shipping in specially constructed and labeled containers.
